Saratoga Performing Arts Center AKA Any Excuse To Talk About The Masked Singer

Hello everyone!

It’s been a while since I have written about concert venues, so let’s do that today!

Today, I am going to be going over the upcoming shows at The Saratoga Performing Arts Center! For those of you who don’t know, it’s another outdoor summer concert venue.

I will not be going over all of their upcoming shows, because a lot of them are classical music, and I am positive that none of you reading care about that. Because I certainly don’t.

The first show they have on June 18 is one of the biggest stars in the world right now: Jelly Roll, who will be joined by some rising star named Kashus Culpepper, who is such a rising star that he doesn’t even have a Wikipedia page.

The next show they have on June 19 is another big country music celebration: Riley Green with Clint Black, Drake White, and Hannah McFarland. I’m only familiar with Clint Black because he was on The Masked Singer, but does anybody else know who any of these people are?

The next show they have on June 23 is 2000s rock band Evanescence with Spirit Box and Nova Twins. I already know this is going to be a great show, with the basic knowledge of the fact that Evanescence is an amazing band, and I hope that Amy Lee does The Masked Singer someday.

The next show they have on June 24 is Jack Johnson with Hermanos Gutierrez. I’m just going to say this right now: I feel like Jack Johnson is the quintessential summer performer, as this is literally the only time of year I have ever seen him go on tour, and he only seems to perform at outdoor venues. I would love to see him on The Masked Singer, but I have to wonder two things. First, is he too laid back and low energy for the show? Second, would he not want to be part of it if they don’t tape during the summer?

The next event they have on June 27 and June 28 is The Saratoga Jazz Festival, which will have Patti LaBelle as a headliner on June 27, and The Revivalists as a headliner on June 28, whoever they are. The Revivalists, I mean. I am very familiar with Patti LaBelle.

The next show they have on June 29 is James Taylor and His All-Star Band, except they might not be huge all stars, considering none of their names are mentioned, while whenever Ringo Starr goes on tour with his All Starr Band, they go out of their way to let you know who is part of it.

The next show they have on July 1 is a double header of 70s rock: Santana and The Doobie Brothers. That’s right, two bands where most of the members are not known by the general public.

The next show they have on July 2 is Lil Wayne with 2 Chainz, or as I like to call it, an artist who was surprisingly on The Masked Singer joined by an artist who will definitely be on The Masked Singer soon enough.

The next show they have on July 3 and July 4 is some jam band called Goose, who will have a different supporting act for both shows. On July 3, they will have another jam band called Disco Biscuits, while on July 4, they will have another jam band called moe.

The next show they have on July 13 is violinist Lindsey Stirling, who will be joined by two other artists named PVRIS and ARKAI.

The next show they have on July 14 is rock band The Guess Who with Don Felder from The Eagles. I have said this before, and I will say it again: The only reason they are performing at such huge venues is because their two most famous members, Burton Cummings and Randy Bachman, returned this year. In fact, I can almost guarantee you that by the time this tour is over, the next time The Guess Who has a show anywhere, it will be at a smaller venue like Ridgefield Playhouse.

The next show they have on July 16 is perfect for all you fans of yacht rock that can’t get enough of it and are definitely out there in the world, Toto with Christopher Cross and The Romantics.

The next show they have on July 17 and July 18 is The Dave Matthews Band, which also seems to have the summer as their busy season.

The next show they have on July 22 is Train with Barenaked Ladies and Matt Nathanson.

The next show they have on July 23 is the adorably named rock band Five Finger Death Punch, who will be joined by Cody Jinks and Eva Under Fire, and I cannot name a single song between all three of them.

The next show they have on July 24 is 2000s rock band Muse with two other artists I have never heard of called Bloc Party and The Temper Trap.

The next show they have on July 25 is Tim McGraw, the biggest country singer in the world… That this venue can afford, because I have never seen anything suggesting Garth Brooks has performed at these venues recently.

The next show they have on July 26 is Guns N Roses with Public Enemy, and they are one of the few rock bands who are still able to perform in such massive arenas that Saratoga Performing Arts Center is almost a step down for them. Seriously, after they perform here, they are going to perform at MetLife Stadium.

The next show they have on July 29 is Motley Crue with Tesla and Extreme, and I am shocked that people are actually still going to see Motley Crue, considering they literally went back on the fact that they were done touring over a decade ago, have all proven to be terrible human beings, and the fact that Vince Neil cannot sing anymore. Not that he ever really could.

The next show they have on July 30 is what I like to call a triple header of 90s rock bands that make you go “Oh yeah, I remember them, but I don’t know their songs.” It consists of Blues Traveler, Gin Blossoms, and Spin Doctors. Yeah, I can only think of three songs among all three bands, and I think that’s generous.

The next show they have on July 31 is John Mulaney, and as I have said so many times, if a comedian is performing at an outdoor venue like this one, they are at the top of their field.

The next show they have on August 1 is a double header of tribute artists with Brit Floyd and Get The Led Out.

The next show they have on August 14 is Josh Groban with The Philadelphia Orchestra. I was actually initially on the fence about letting you all know about this show, considering it’s bordering on a classical music show, but I decided to share it anyway, because even though I don’t know a single song by him, or even how he became famous in the first place, I have at least heard of him.

The next show they have on August 18 is early 2010s pop goddess Kesha, who will be joined by Chromeo and absolute queen from Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Erika Jayne.

The next show they have on August 23 is the most unique tour ever, a double header of rock bands Lynyrd Skynyrd and Foreigner with special guest Six Gun Sally, who don’t even have a Wikipedia page. What makes this tour so unique is the fact that there will not be a single original member in either band, meaning that it’s essentially just going to be a tour of two glorified cover bands.

The next show they have on August 27 is perfect for all you fans of 90s girl groups, TLC, Salt-N-Pepa, and En Vogue, or as I like to call it, more people that will be on The Masked Singer.

The next show they have on August 29 is an overindulgence of country music with Luke Bryan, Drew Baldridge, Lanie Gardner, Lauren Watkins, and DJ Rock.

The next show they have on August 30 is The Outlaw Music Festival, which will feature a number of artists including Sheryl Crow and Willie Nelson, who is still performing despite being close to being 100.

The next show they have on September 2 is Pitbull with Lil Jon, which is definitely going to be such an amazing party. Also, Lil Jon is going to be on The Masked Singer someday, don’t @ me.

The next show they have on September 5 is country singer Parker McCollum with Vincent Mason and Owen Riegling, and I don’t know why, but I feel like Parker McCollum will be on The Masked Singer someday.

The next show they have on September 12 is Hayley Williams from Paramore with Magdalena Boy and Rico Nasty, whoever the two of them are.

The next show they have on September 17 is David Byrne from Talking Heads.

The last show they have on September 19 is O.A.R. with Gavin DeGraw and KT Tunstall, and both of them will absolutely be on The Masked Singer in the future.

Overall, there are many exciting shows coming to Saratoga this summer, so go ahead and check them out!
