Putnam County Restaurants

Hello everyone! 


I enjoy writing about restaurants so much, that I’m going to do it again today! As I have already written about so many places that are next to Westchester County or beyond, I will do so again today, and write about restaurants in Putnam County, which is right next to Westchester. I will going over standout restaurants and the interesting foods on their menus, in hopes that it will encourage all of you reading, and me as well, to go check them out.

The first restaurant is Friends Waterfront Bar & Grill in Mahopac. Some of the interesting foods on their menu include Calamari, Chicken Fingers & Fries, French Onion Soup, Jumbo Pretzel, Mozzarella Sticks, Mini Rice Balls, Meatballs, Philly Cheesesteak, Cheeseburger, Quesadilla, Pulled Pork Sandwich, Penne alla Vodka, Spicy Rigatoni, Chicken Parmesan, Hanger Steak & Fries, Cheese Pizza, Margherita Pizza, Chocolate Cake, Cheesecake, Churros, and Nutella Pizza.

The next restaurant is Carriage House in Mahopac. Some of the interesting foods on their menu include French Onion Soup, Truffle Chips, Pretzel Sticks, Macaroni & Cheese Bites, Calamari, Firecracker Shrimp, Short Rib Poutine, Pickle Chips, Corn Fritters, Philly Cheesesteak, Short Rib Grilled Cheese, Chicken Cutlet Focaccia Sandwich, Fish & Chips, Short Ribs, Skirt Steak, and New York Strip Steak.

The next restaurant is Tilly’s Table in Brewster. Some of the interesting foods on their menu include Baked Clams, Crispy Pork Bacon, Crab Cakes, Crispy Calamari, Giant Hot Pretzel, Fried Mozzarella, Eggplant Tower, Lobster Rolls, Grilled Shrimp Tacos, Kobe Beef Burger, Lobster Bisque, Chicken & Vegetable Soup, Braised Short Ribs, Herb & Wild Mushroom Crusted Beef Tenderloin, Penne Vodka, Spicy Rigatoni, Macaroni & Cheese, Lobster Ravioli, Seared Scallops, Eggplant Casserole, Filet Mignon, New York Strip, Surf & Turf, and Veal Parmesan. 

The next restaurant is Stone House Bar and Grill in Mahopac. Some of the interesting foods on their menu include Baked Clams, Crab Cakes, Fried Calamari, Eggplant Rollatini, Penne Siciliano, Penne Vodka, Chicken Parmesan, Filet Mignon, New York Strip Steak, Ribeye Steak, and Lamb Chops.

The next restaurant is Lake House Restaurant and Bar in Mahopac. Some of the interesting foods on their menu include Crab Cakes, Fried Calamari, Chicken Dumplings, Rigatoni, Lobster Ravioli, Shrimp Tacos, Scallops, Short Rib Burger, Filet Mignon, New York Sirloin, Ice Cream, Cheesecake, Tiramisu, Chocolate Cake, and Creme Brûlée. 

The next restaurant is Arturo’s Tavern in Mahopac. Some of the interesting foods on their menu include Eggplant Rollatini, Fried Mozzarella, Margherita Pizza, Fried Calamari, Fried Zucchini Ribbons, Tortellini En Brodo, Penne, Rigatoni, Gnocchi, Baked Ziti, Cheese Ravioli, Manicotti, Eggplant Parmesan, Chicken Parmesan, Veal Cutlet Parmesan, and Skirt Steak.

The next restaurant is Rye Republic in Brewster. Some of the interesting foods on their menu include Housemade Pickles, Chips & Dip, Jalapeno Poppers, Arancini, Fried Chicken Sandwich, Mushroom Melt, Mushroom Swiss Burger, Brownie Sundae, and Cookies.

The next restaurant is My Cousin’s in Mahopac. Some of the interesting foods on their menu include Fried Zucchini, Fried Calamari, Candied Bacon, Steakhouse Bacon, Meatballs, Cauliflower Patties, Eggplant Rollatini, French Onion Soup, Potato Leek Soup, Lobster Tail, Smothered Pork Chop, Filet Mignon, Rack of Lamb, New York Strip Steak, Eggplant Parmesan, Rigatoni Carbonara, Shrimp Farfalle, and Broccoli Farfalle.

The next restaurant is Northwood Inn in Carmel. The next restaurant is Char Steakhouse and Bar in Mahopac. Some of the interesting foods on their menu include French Onion Soup Au Gratin, Fried Calamari, Lollipop Lamb Chops, Crab Cakes, Mango Mahi Mahi Tacos, Thick Cut Grilled Slab Bacon, Baked Stuffed Clams, Crab & Corn Chowder, Black Angus Filet Mignon Steak Sandwich, Coconut Crusted Mahi Mahi, Crab Stuffed Jumbo Shrimp, Scallops, Braised Short Ribs, Char Broiled Lamb Chops, Slow Roasted Angus Beef Stew, Char Filet Oscar with Twice Baked Potato, and Several Different Cuts Of Steak.

The next restaurant is The Bird & Bottle Inn in Garrison. Some of the interesting foods on their menu include Truffle Polenta Bites, Fried Heritage Pork Belly, Seared Scallops, Butterfly Pea Flower Risotto, Steak Frites, Gnocchi, Ice Cream, Mixed Berry Crostata, Creme Brûlée, Tiramisu, Chocolate Ganache Tart, Cheesecake, and Strawberry Shortcake. 

The next restaurant is Cutillo’s Restaurant in Carmel. Some of the interesting foods on their menu include Stuffed Clams, Garlic Bread, Fried Calamari, Portobello Mushroom Parmesan, Duck Breast, Breaded Chicken Cutlet, Chicken Parmesan, Pork Loin Medallions, New York Strip Steak, Rack of Lamb, Penne Vodka, Eggplant Parmesan, Tortellini, Gnocchi, Ravioli, Lasagna, Breaded Veal Cutlet, Veal Parmesan, Ice Cream, Cheesecake, Flan, Apple Cobbler, Chocolate Soufflé, and Peanut Butter Chocolate Pie. 

The next restaurant is The Arch in Brewster. Some of the interesting foods on their menu include Cheese Soufflé, Potato Croquettes, Crab and Lobster Cakes, Duck a L’Orange, Braised Short Ribs, Beef Wellington, Filet Mignon, New York Strip Steak, Porterhouse Steak, Agnolotti Pasta, Creme Brûlée, Sabayon, Chocolate Lava Cake, Coconut Cream Pie, Chocolate Soufflé, and Lemon Tart. 


The last restaurant is Hudson House River Inn in Cold Spring. Some of the interesting foods on their menu include Crab Cakes, Coconut Shrimp, Lemongrass Chicken Dumplings, Lobster Bisque, French Onion Soup, Crab Stuffed Shrimp, Lobster Ravioli, Steak and Cajun Jumbo Shrimp, Roasted Vegetable Primavera, Spinach Ravioli, Lobster Macaroni & Cheese, Baked Potato, Parmesan Truffle Fries, Shoestring Fries, Filet Mignon, New York Strip Steak, Ribeye Steak, and Porterhouse Steak.

Overall, there are many interesting restaurants in this part of New York that many people, including myself, may have often overlooked. So get in your car and go check them out!
