Poughkeepsie Galleria



As you probably all remember, I have written about several malls in New York and Connecticut, and today I am going to write about another one! Today I am going to talk about the Poughkeepsie Galleria, which is a mall that has two floors, a total of 1,100,000 square feet, and a total of 105 businesses including four anchor tenants, which makes it the largest shopping center in Dutchess County. In this blog post, I will be discussing the history of the mall and the various businesses there, in hopes that it will convince all of you reading to check it out.

The mall first opened on August 1, 1987, and it featured five anchor stores, which were G. Fox & Co., Jordan Marsh, Lechmere, Filene’s, and JCPenney, all of which have since closed. Several other businesses joined the mall after moving from the next-door South Hills Mall, which were Steinbach and Sears, both of which have also since closed. 

I will now go over all the business that are at the mall, and I hope any or all of them sound interesting to you.

The first business there is a restaurant called 110 Grill.

The next business there is a contemporary fashion store called Against All Odds.

The next business there is popular clothing store Aeropostale.

The next business there is a sneaker store called All City Fashions.

The next business there is a unique one. It’s called All In Adventures, and it consists of escape rooms, something called Beat the Seat, and a Game Show Room.

The next business there is popular clothing store American Eagle.

The next business there is one called The Arcade House.

The next business there is one that I have seen at other malls I have been to called As Seen On TV.

The next business there is popular pretzel chain Auntie Anne’s.

The next business there is a necklace, earring, bracelet, and piercing shop called Banter.

The next business there is one that is common at many malls, Bath & Body Works.

The next business there is one of the anchor tenants at the mall, Best Buy.

The next business there is a trampoline park called Bounce, which also has an 18-hole glow golf experience, pickleball, roller skating, golf simulator, and laser tag.

The next business there is one that is common to many malls in the area, Build A Bear Workshop.

The next business there is a salon called C&C Unisex Salon.

The next business there is popular restaurant chain Charley’s Philly Steaks.

The next business there is a clothing store called Charlotte Russe.

The next business there is a formal wear store called Chic Boutique.

The next business there is a Chinese restaurant called China Max.

The next business there is another store that is common to many of the other malls I have written about, Claire’s.

The next business there is a clothing store called Custom T’s.

The next business there is another one of their anchor tenants that is also common to many other malls I have written about, Dick’s Sporting Goods.

The next business there is a wellness store called Diesel RX.

The next business there is one that is common to many other malls, DSW.

The next business there is a shoe store called Eternal Soles. 

The next business there is a clothing store called Express.

The next business there is popular shoe store Famous Footwear.

The next business there is a shoe, apparel, and accessory store called Finish Line.

The next business there is a variety store that I have been to many times, Five Below.

The next business there is a fragrance kiosk called Fragrances R Us.

The next business there is a store that I have been to many times over the years, music, game, video, and toy store FYE.

The next business there is Galleria Phone Repair.

The next business there is one that I have seen at almost all the other malls I have written about and one that I have been to many times, GameStop.

The next business there is a jewelry store called Gem Jewelers.

The next business there is a coffee shop called Gloria Jean’s Coffees.

The next business there is a fashion store called The Gold Standard.

The next business there is a clothing store that is at almost all the other malls I have written about, H&M.

The next business there is a Hallmark store. 

The next business there is popular clothing store Hollister.

The next business there is a Mexican-style smoothie shop that recently opened called Horchata’s las Fresitas.

The next business there is an accessory store that I have been to at many other malls, Hot Topic.

The next business there is an exotic snack shop called Hudson Valley Exotics.

The next business there is in the food court, and it’s called Ice Cream & Crepes.

The next business there is a jewelry store that recently opened called Jewel Palace.

The next business there is a clothing store called Jimmy Jazz. 

The next business there is popular shoe and accessory store Journeys, as well as its kid counterpart.

The next business there is popular mall jewelry store Kay Jewelers.

The next business there is popular shoe store Kids Foot Locker.

The next business there is called Kirwan’s Game Store, which sells collectible card games, tabletop games, miniatures, comic books, and toys.

The next business there is women’s clothing store Lane Bryant.

The next business there is a leggings store called Leggings NY.

The next business there is a glasses store that also has a location in Mount Kisco, LensCrafters.

The next business there is popular hat store Lids.

The next business there is a women’s clothing store called Loft.

The next business there is one of the mall’s anchor tenants, and is also the only one to cover both levels, and is also one at almost all the other malls I have written about, Macy’s.

The next business there is called Makky Expressions, and it sells handmade crafts, jewelry, ceramics, leather goods, and more.

The next business there is a restaurant called Mediterranean Xpress.

The next business there is an accessory store called Momo Accessories.

The next business there is a smoothie shop called Mr. Smoothie.

The next business there is popular hot dog chain Nathan’s Famous.

The next business there is a deli called New York Deli.

The next business there is a store that is at many of the other malls I have written about, Old Navy.

The next business there is popular clothing store PacSun.

The next business there is popular jewelry store Pandora.

The next business there is popular glasses store Pearle Vision.

The next business there is called Pet Zone, and it sells pets, pet products, and foods. 

The next business there is a kiosk where you can get your phone fixed.

The next business there is a frozen yogurt store called Pick & Joy.

The next business there is a tattoo and piercing parlor called Pierce It or Ink It.

The next business there is called Pro Image Sports, and it sells jerseys and novelty, as well as NFL, MLB, NBA, and NHL merchandise.

The next business there is a furniture store called Quality Furniture.

The next business there is one of the mall’s anchor tenants, Regal Cinemas, which according to the website has stadium seating.

The next business there is a massage parlor called Relax Zone.

The next business there is called RPM Raceway, and it features a quarter mile racetrack with electric go karts that can up to 45 mph.

The next business there is popular beauty store Sephora.

The next business there is a pizza and pasta restaurant called Sicilian Delight.

The next business there is called Space Adventure Mini Golf, which is an 18-hole and 7000 square feet mini golf course that has black lights and alien-themed décor, and there is also an arcade that is part of it as well.

The next business there is one that you can find almost anywhere in America, T-Mobile.

The next business there is one of the most popular fast-food chains in America, Taco Bell.

The next business there is the last anchor tenant, Target.

The next business there is an eyebrow threading salon called The Threading Place.

The next business there is a watch repair kiosk called Time Square Watch Repair.

The next business there is a Japanese restaurant called Tokyo Express.

The next business there is a fashion store called Torrid.

The next business there is a nail salon called Tranquility Nail & Spa.

The next business there is called The Traveling Buddha, and it sells carved stone buddhas and other garden statuary including benches and water troughs, as well as a variety of jewelry, art, and handy crafts.

The next business there is an outdoor living company called Under the Sun Improvements.

The next business there is a store you can find probably anywhere in the area, Verizon Wireless.

The next business there is a menswear shop called Via Roma.

The next business there is one of the most popular in America, Victoria’s Secret.

The next business there is a Mexican restaurant called Villa Picante.

The next business there is a restaurant called The Village Pancake Factory.

The next business there is a fragrance store called White Barn.

The next business there is a women’s clothing store called Windsor.

The next business there is called Wow Arcade.

The next business there is popular candle store Yankee Candle.

The next business there is popular jewelry store Zales.

The last business there is popular skate and snow store Zumiez.
