Upcoming Nearby Shows



As some of you might remember, I have written about nearby performance venues in the past and the shows they had coming up at the time. Today, I will be going back to talk about several of the venues that I have already written about to share with you some of the new shows they have announced, as well as some venues that I haven’t already written about in hopes that any of the shows I share with you might make you want to buy some tickets. 

The first venue that I will be talking about is District Music Hall in Norwalk, Connecticut. They have a few exciting shows coming up, including a show from singer Billy Bragg with special guest Steven Page from Barenaked Ladies, a performance from folk singer Josh Ritter, a performance from the band Soul Asylum, a performance from the band The Disco Biscuits, a show from singers Aimee Mann and Ted Leo that will also feature comedian Paul F. Tompkins, singer Nellie McKay, and author Josh Gondelman, a performance from rock band Big Head Todd and The Monsters, who are celebrating their 40th anniversary next year, and a performance from pop singer Dean Lewis.

The next venue that I will be talking about is College Street Music Hall in New Haven. Some of the interesting shows they have coming up include a performance from rock band The Psychedelic Furs, a performance from pop singer and Masked Singer alum Jesse McCartney, the Comedy Bang Bang tour that will feature comedians like Scott Aukerman and Paul F. Tompkins, a performance from rap group Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, a performance from Grateful Dead cover band Dark Star Orchestra, a performance from jam band Gov’t Mule, and a performance from Big Head Todd and The Monsters.

The next venue that I will be talking about is the Paramount Hudson Valley Theater in Peekskill. Some of the interesting shows they have coming up include a performance from one of my favorite comedians Brian Regan, a performance from Mexican-American rock band Los Lobos, a performance from two Broadway stars, Adam Pascal and Anthony Rapp, a Beatles tribute band called The Fab Four, a performance from comedian Tracy Morgan, a performance from comedian Jim Breuer, a performance from soft rock duo Air Supply, a performance from R&B legend and Masked Singer alum Dionne Warwick, a cabaret show from Masked Singer alum Luann de Lesseps, and a performance from comedian Kathy Griffin. 

The next venue that I will be talking about is the Tarrytown Music Hall. Some of the interesting shows they have coming up include a performance from Rick Wakeman on his final tour, a performance from indie rock singer Neko Case, a performance from The Robert Cray Band, a performance from comedian Preacher Lawson, a performance from comedian Nick Swardson, a performance from comedian Paula Poundstone, a performance from singer Don McLean, a performance from the band Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, two performances from children’s music performer Laurie Berkner, a performance from legendary singer Darlene Love, a show from radio personality Ira Glass, a performance from comedian and actress Maria Bamford, a performance from controversial comedian Andrew Dice Clay, and a performance from former lead singer of Queensryche Geoff Tate.

The next venue that I will be talking about is the Ridgefield Playhouse. Some of the interesting shows they have coming up include a performance from comedian Heather McDonald, a performance from guitarist and singer Richie Kotzen, a performance from singer Todd Rundgren, a performance from Ego Nwodim and Heidi Gardner from SNL, a performance from comedian Jim Belushi, a performance from magicians from the show “Masters of Illusion,” a performance of Chazz Palminteri’s one man show “A Bronx Tale,” their fall gala which features a performance from Elvis Costello, a performance from Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue, a performance from 60s band Jay and the Americans, a performance from 80s band The English Beat, a performance from comedian and Masked Singer alum Michael Rapaport, a performance from Justin Hayward from The Moody Blues, a performance from Micky Dolenz from The Monkees, and a performance from Mark Farner from Grand Funk Railroad.

The next venue that I will be talking about is the Palace Theatre in Stamford. Some of the interesting shows they have coming up include a performance from comedian and magician Michael Carbonaro, a performance from comedian Eddie Izzard, a performance from country singer Scotty McCreery, an event hosted by former president Bill Clinton, an orchestra performing music from the show “Avatar: The Last Airbender,” and a performance from The Temptations and The Four Tops.

The next venue that I will be talking about is Flagstar at Westbury Music Fair in Long Island. Some of the interesting shows they have coming up include a performance from salsa bandleader and singer Gilberto Santa Rosa, a performance from legendary pop and jazz singer Johnny Mathis, a performance from comedian Ronny Chieng, a performance from comedian and host Jay Leno, a performance from rock band Three Dog Night, a performance from legendary singer and Masked Singer alum Paul Anka, a performance from Dionne Warwick, a performance from the Alan Parsons Project, a performance from Don McLean, a performance from A.J. Croce and Masked Singer alum John Oates, a performance from Engelbert Humperdinck on his farewell tour, a performance from Peter Noone and Herman’s Hermits, a performance from Micky Dolenz, a performance from Masked Singer alums Katharine McPhee and David Foster, and a performance from Burton Cummings from The Guess Who.

The last venue that I will be talking about is the most famous one in Westchester County, The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester. Some of the interesting shows they have coming up include a two-night residency from The Doobie Brothers, a two-night residency from Tedeschi Trucks Band, a performance from The Warren Haynes Band, a two-night residency from legendary singer Sting, which I know my mom would love to see, a performance from rising singer Declan McKenna, a concert that will benefit the Pace Women’s Justice Center that will feature a performance from R&B singer Ashanti, a performance from Led Zeppelin tribute band Get the Led Out, a performance from flamenco group Gipsy Kings, a two-night residency from rock band Chicago, a performance from country singer Lucinda Williams, a benefit concert for ArtsWestchester featuring a performance from The Wallflowers, a two-night residency from Dark Star Orchestra, a performance from legendary singer Smokey Robinson, a performance from The Allman Betts Family Revival, a performance from rock band Hot Tuna, which I know my dad would want to see, a performance from The Temptations & The Four Tops, a performance from Marc Roberge and Jon Lampley from the band O.A.R., a two-night residency from rock band The Black Crowes, another two-night residency from Dark Star Orchestra, a three-night residency from Joe Russo’s Almost Dead, a performance from rock band Guster, and a performance from comedian Kevin James.
