Artists Who Should Do Alive At Five

I recently wrote a blog post about the Stamford Downtown event Alive at Five, and in that post, I said that I often think about artists that would be perfect to have at the event, and that I would be making posts about those artists that should perform there. Today, I will be bringing you a post where I talk about artists that would be great to hear performing in Stamford Downtown.

The first artist that I feel would be great for the event is the Goo Goo Dolls. The event has already had several other rock bands that got their start in the 90s, so they would be a welcome addition for this reason. They have also gone on several summer tours at outdoor venues in the past, so they are comfortable with performing outside. They also have several songs that would be great to hear through the streets of Stamford Downtown, like “Slide” and “Iris.”

The next artist that I feel would be great for the event is Matchbox 20. They are another rock band that got their start in the 90s and 2000s, so they would be perfect for that reason as well. They have also performed at outdoor venues in previous summers, so performing outside is nothing new to them. The lead singer, Rob Thomas, also lives around here, so he wouldn’t have to travel far from his home to where he has to perform. They also have many great songs they can perform both from their albums and from Rob Thomas’ solo career, like “Unwell” and “Lonely No More.”

The next artist that I feel would be great for the event is R&B singer Monica. The event had an R&B double header last year with Ginuwine and Ashanti, and I feel that it would be great for them to get another iconic R&B performer from that same time. She also has many great songs that the audience can sing along to like “Angel of Mine” and “The Boy Is Mine.”

The next artist that I feel would be great for the event is rapper Ja Rule. The event has always gotten at least one great rapper every year, and he would be the perfect rapper for them to have either this year or some future year. He has also worked with Ashanti several times, and she performed at the event last year, so it could increase his chances of being at the event. He also has a ton of fun songs that have a lot of energy to them and would get the audience at the event hyped up.

The next artist that I feel would be great for the event is rock band 3 Doors Down. They are another rock band that got their start in the early 2000s, which is a category of artist that the event has had several times. They have also performed several outdoor shows over the years, so performing outdoors in Stamford won’t be new to them. They are also an artist that has a song that would sound great echoing through Downtown Stamford, in this case it’s “Kryptonite.”

The next artist that I feel would be great for the event is rapper and actor Nelly. He has much experience performing at outdoor venues in his career, including performing at the Hey Stamford Food Festival a few years ago, so it only seems natural for him to do Alive at Five. He also has many songs that would sound great echoing through Downtown Stamford like “Ride wit Me” and “Hot in Herre,” both of which are also songs that are great with the audience joining in.

The next artist that I feel would be great for the event is Michelle Branch. The event has had almost no female rock singers over the years, and she would be the perfect singer to represent this category for the target audience they’re trying to reach. It would also be cool to hear her song “Everywhere” in Stamford Downtown.

The next artist that I feel would be great for the event is R&B singer Mario. He has experience performing outside, and he was also part of a summer concert series at SeaWorld last year. He is also a great dancer, and him dancing on stage would get the audience even more excited. His song “Let Me Love You” is another song that would be great to hear echoing through the streets of Stamford Downtown.

The next artist that I feel would be great for the event is reggae and dancehall artist Sean Paul. He has performed outdoor shows many times before, and the event has already had two other popular reggae artists over the years, Shaggy and Ziggy Marley, so he would be a welcome addition for this reason. He also has several songs that would be great to hear echoing through Downtown Stamford like “Get Busy” and “Temperature,” which are also songs that will get the entire audience dancing and having a great time.

The next artist that I feel would be great for the event is rock band Good Charlotte. They are yet another rock band that got their start in the 2000s, which is a type of artist that the event has had a lot in recent years. They are also a band whose songs are so loud when they are performed live, the sound will carry through the streets. It would also be great that some of these songs will be “The Anthem” and “Lifestyles of the Rich & Famous.”

I hope you enjoyed reading who I think would be perfect for Alive at Five, and I’ll see you again soon with another post with more artists!
