Tarrytown Music Hall
If you are looking for a performance venue nearby that has many exciting upcoming shows, head over to the Tarrytown Music Hall! This is a venue that has many shows from famous artists through the course of a year and has also been listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
If you want to go see a movie there, they have two screenings coming up. The first one is on December 16, and it’s a screening of the holiday classic “It’s A Wonderful Life.” Another exciting screening that they will have is on February 25, which will be a sing-along version of the movie “The Greatest Showman,” which will feature on screen lyrics during the songs so that everyone in the audience can join in. There will also be a host there that will teach the audience specific dance moves and how to use interactive prop bags, and the audience is also recommended to wear costumes.
There will also be musicals for kids based on children’s books. The first one will be on February 18 and will be a musical based on the book “Pinkalicious.” The second one will be on March 9 and will be a musical based on the book “Giraffes Can’t Dance.”
There are also several music shows coming up, the first of which is The Glenn Miller Orchestra putting on a holiday show that I believe they have done every year, which is on December 14. They will also be having another holiday show that I believe they also have every year, which is a show from legendary singer Darlene Love on December 17. There will also be a show on February 10 from rock band Big Head Todd and The Monsters. One month later, on March 6, there will be a show from John Lodge from the legendary band The Moody Blues. A few days after that, on March 24, there will be a show from Raul Malo from the band The Mavericks. Three months later, on June 1, there will be a show that both of my parents are excited about, which is legendary singer Joe Jackson, who will be doing a two-part performance that will start off with his songs, and then the music of Max Champion with a nine-piece band. A few days after that, on June 29, they will have a show from Peter Yarrow and Noel Paul Stookey, honoring the legacy of Peter, Paul, and Mary. Two months after that, on August 4, they will have a show with Jerry Harrison from Talking Heads and Adrian Belew from King Crimson.
What is also exciting about the venue is the comedy shows they have coming up. On January 26, they will have legendary actor, comedian, and host Craig Ferguson as part of his Fancy Rascal Tour. Two months later, on March 2, they will have Emmy winning stand-up comic, writer, and actress Wanda Sykes, as part of her Please and Thank You Tour. A few days later, on March 10, they will have stand-up comedian, actor, and podcast host Marc Maron as part of his All in Tour. A few days after that, on March 22, they will have Emmy and Grammy award-winning comedian Kathy Griffin as part of her tour called My Life on the PTSD-List. One month later, on April 26, they will have comedian and satirist Randy Rainbow, who will be there as part of his Randy Rainbow for President tour.
