Sleepy Hollow Music Festival
An exciting new event has been announced for Westchester County in June 2024! On Saturday, June 8, the first Sleepy Hollow Music Festival will be taking place at Kingsland Point Park!
As of right now, there is not a ton of information regarding the event, but I will be sharing everything that is currently on the website for the event, and I just feel that this event is too cool to not write about. There will be merchandise made for the event, which has not been revealed yet, but I’m assuming will probably be things like shirts, maybe some bags specifically for the event will also be sold there. This merchandise will be sold at the event, and in the next few months, people can purchase merchandise from the website of the event.
Guests can bring some personal items, like sunscreen, hats, sunglasses, non-professional film and digital cameras, empty and reusable water bottles, snacks, a blanket to sit on in designated areas, low-back chairs, and a driver’s license to purchase alcohol. If you bring a bag to the event, it will be searched before entry, and it would not be smart to bring something giant or stuff them full. Guests are not allowed to bring in illegal substances or weapons, professional cameras and recording devices, alcohol, pets unless they are approved service animals, scooters or personalized motorized vehicles, musical instruments, tents, and umbrellas.
There will also be several options for food and drinks at the event that will come from local purveyors, chefs, eateries, food trucks, and establishments in the area. While they have not said who is going to be there, it can be assumed that the food trucks that will be there are the ones that typically show up at Westchester events, such as Crafty ‘Cue, Three Little Pigs BBQ of Hawthorne, Wrapper’s Delight, Cousin’s Maine Lobster, and many others.
They have announced the artists that will be performing at the event, and it already sounds exciting. They will have Anthony Giaccio & the Assortments, a country and rock and roll band whose lead singer has been writing songs for most of his adult life, but only recently started recording them and performing in Westchester and New York City. There will also be Clare Maloney & the Great Adventure, a rock band that has opened for artists like Pat Benatar, Phil Lesh, and Robert Plant, and recently went on a 50-date national tour in 2023. The event will also have alternative rock band The Verve Pipe, who are best known for their songs “Photograph” and “The Freshmen.” There will also be a group called Nightingale All-Stars, which is a collaboration from the lead singer of Blues Traveler John Popper. There will also be a performance from rising R&B singer Danielle Ponder. The main headliner of the event is indie rock band Cold War Kids, who are celebrating 20 years and are best known for their songs “Hang Me Up to Dry” and “First.”
The event is going to be rain or shine, and tickets are currently on sale, so get your tickets and go see an exciting new event in Westchester County!
