Halloween Events In Westchester County

Hello everyone!

As we are currently super close to the beginning of October, I felt it was appropriate to make a blog post about all the Halloween events you can go to here in Westchester County. As always, my purpose in writing about these events is that anybody reading is interested in what they read and decide to go to them as a result.

The first event is one that I’m sure almost all of you have heard about, The Great Jack O’Lantern Blaze at Van Cortlandt Manor in Croton-on-Hudson, which goes until November 16. It consists of over 7000 hand-carved and illuminated Jack O’Lanterns, synchronized lighting, special effects, an original soundtrack, and food and drinks.

The next event is Irving’s Legend at Philipsburg Manor in Sleepy Hollow, which goes from October 3 to November 1, and it consists of a retelling of The Legend of Sleepy Hollow with a special appearance from the Headless Horseman.

The next event is The Spirits of Sleepy Hollow Country, which is also at Philipsburg Manor and also goes from October 3 to November 1, and it consists of illusionists communicating with the spirits of Sleepy Hollow Country.

The next event is Twilight Village at Sleepy Hollow, which is also at Philipsburg Manor and also goes from October 3 to November 1, and it consists of storytellers, fire performers, iconic legends, a roving brass band, a pop-up evening market, and more.

The next event is Halloween Celebration & Fall Festival Walk for Wishes at Kingsland Point Park in Sleepy Hollow on October 5 from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, and it consists of a river walk stroll, a glass pumpkin patch, live music, food trucks, a costume contest, and family friendly activities.

The next event is a Ghost Tour of the Tarrytown Music Hall, which is on select dates and times until November 8.

The next event is The Myths & Mysteries Tour at The Armour-Stiner Octagon House in Irvington, which goes until November 3, and gives guests a chance to hear stories of the house’s history and otherworldly experiences of previous tenants.

The next event is HallowGlow Nights at Boundless Adventures in Purchase, which is on Fridays and Saturdays through October 31 and November 8, and it will consist of their usual ropes course but with scary music playing, and there will also be candy available.

The next event is The Haunt at Wildcliff Mansion in New Rochelle, which goes from October 10 to November 1, and it consists of exploring Dr. Wildcliff’s forgotten laboratory, frightening features including a graveyard and cathedral, a corn maze, halls of the mansion being populated by ghostly figures and horrors, and there are also food trucks.

The next event is the SUP Witches Festival at Kingsland Point Park in Sleepy Hollow on October 12 from 12:00-4:00, and it consists of live music, “witchy vendors,” “wicked eats,” the Headless Horseman, witches, and the Sup Witches Paddle.

The next event is Hulda’s Night at Rockefeller State Park in Pleasantville on October 15-18 and October 22-25, and it consists of an immersive theater experience spotlighting the age of Hulda during the American Revolution, lit at night by two lanterns, and a moderate two mile hike with a few hills that runs two to two and a half hours.

The next event is Lyndhurst After Dark at Lyndhurst Mansion in Tarrytown from October 16-26 from 6:00-10:00, and it consists of a late night semi-guided tour with performers telling stories of the past.

The next event is Spooktoberfest at Hart’s Brook Park & Reserve in Hartsdale on October 18 from 12:00-4:30, and it consists of a hayride, a petting zoo, a chance to make Halloween crafts, and food vendors.

The next event is Family Halloween Day in Yonkers on October 25 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, and it consists of a start at the front desk of Philipse Manor Hall in costume, and then making your way to the Gothic Chamber for historical Halloween crafts, or you can watch the 1949 cartoon The Legend of Sleepy Hollow.

The next event is the Tarrytown Halloween Parade that starts at Patriots Park in Sleepy Hollow at 5:00, travels down Main Street in Tarrytown, and then leads to a block party with a DJ, outdoor dining, performers, and a chance to win prizes if you march with a theme as a group or a float.

The last event is Tarrytown The Musical at the Tarrytown Music Hall on October 30 at 7:00 PM, and it is described as putting a contemporary spin on Washington Irving’s Legend of Sleepy Hollow.

Overall, there are many interesting Halloween events in our area, and you should go and check them out!
