Halloween In Westchester County

If you have been wondering what sort of Halloween events you can go to for the remainder of the month, I will gladly share it with you all! As I live in Westchester County, I will be writing about events that will be happening there.

The first event is perfect for a family with kids. It’s at the Legoland Discovery Center in Yonkers, and it’s called Brick-or-Treat. This is where kids can go on a scavenger hunt, create their own magical potion, and have meet-and-greets with several characters. If you want to go to this event, it goes until October 31.

The next event is one that I have written about before, and it’s also one of the most popular events in the Hudson Valley at Halloween. I am talking about The Great Jack O’Lantern Blaze at Van Cortlandt Manor in Croton-on-Hudson. This event features 7000 hand-carved, illuminated jack-o’-lanterns in a variety of forms, such as a pumpkin carousel and bridge and a river display, as well as synchronized lighting and an original soundtrack. If you want to go to this event, it goes until November 17.

The next event is one of several in the village of Sleepy Hollow. It’s called Irving’s Legend, and it takes place at Philipsburg Manor. The event consists of storyteller Jonathan Kruk giving an outdoor and under-the-stars performance of “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow,” live music, and an appearance from the headless horseman. If you want to go to this event, it goes until November 3.

The next event is also at Philipsburg Manor in Sleepy Hollow. It’s called The Spirits of Sleepy Hollow, and it’s hosted by two illusionists named Mark Clearview and Nick Wallace, who will be leading visitors on a journey through the history of famed figures like Washington Irving, Hulda the witch, and the headless horseman. If you want to go to this event, it happens on select dates until November 3.

The next event is another one at Philipsburg Manor in Sleepy Hollow. It’s called Twilight Village at Sleepy Hollow, and it features fortune reading, creepy tunes, hair-raising tales with local lore, places where people can shop during the night market, have cocktails, mocktails, and snacks, and an appearance by the headless horseman. If you want to go to this event, it goes until November 3.

The next event is one that I have written about before, Ghost Tour of Tarrytown Music Hall. This event takes place in the theater and uncovers unexplained happenings and paranormal activity there, from mysterious lights to the sound of vocal scales after hours. If you want to go to this event, it is on select days until November 10.

The next event is another one that I have written about before, the Myths & Mysteries Tour at The Armour-Stiner Octagon House in Irvington. This is where you can learn about a building described as the pride of the village of Irvington, such as the history of the house and otherworldly experiences of the previous tenants. If you want to go to this event, it is on select days until November 3.

The next event is called Halloween Happenings at Stew Leonard’s in Yonkers. The store will have a hay maze with pumpkins, scarecrows, and festive inflatables, and there will also be a special Halloween brunch one weekend with Wow the Cow and Friends. If you want to go to this event, it goes until October 31.

The next event is at Boundless Adventures in Purchase and is called HallowGlow Nights. This is where you can climb, swing, and zip through the forest with scary themed music playing, and there is also candy available for trick-or-treaters. If you want to go to this event, it’s only on Saturdays in October.

The next event is in New Rochelle and is called The Haunt at Wildcliff Mansion. This is where you can explore Dr. Wildcliff’s forgotten laboratory, where you will pass by features such as a graveyard and a cathedral, a haunted corn maze, hallways populated by ghostly figures and other horrors, and there are also local food trucks. If you want to go to this event, it goes until November 2.

The next event is Lyndhurst After Dark at Lyndhurst Mansion in Tarrytown. This is where you can explore its dark history through the words and tales of those who have lived there. If you want to go to this event, it is on two weekends from October 17 to October 27.

The next event is Spooktoberfest at Hart’s Brook Park & Reserve in Hartsdale. This event will have a hayride, a petting zoo, a place where kids can make Halloween crafts, and various food vendors. If you want to go to this event, it is on October 19 from 12:00-4:30.

The next event is the Goosefeather Halloween Party at the restaurant of the same name in Tarrytown. This event will have a costume contest, a candy hunt, a bouncy house, lawn games, popcorn, cotton candy, and apple cider. If you want to go to this event, it is on October 26 from 12:00-3:00.

The next event is the Downtown Yonkers Pet Parade & Fashion Show. As its name suggests, this is where you can bring your pet in a costume for a chance to win the scariest, cutest, or most creative costume. If you want to go to this event, it is on October 26 from 12:00-2:00.

The next event is one that I wrote about last year, the Tarrytown Halloween Parade. This event consists of a parade that goes down Main Street and a block party that has a DJ, outdoor dining, performers, and a chance to win prizes if you march with a theme as a group or a float. If you want to go to this event, it is on October 26 and starts at 5:30.

The next event is Halloweekend at the Hudson River Museum in Yonkers. This event will have a variety of activities such as decorating your own finger monsters, enjoying a live animal show, taking a tour of the Glenview home, and you will also have the chance to learn about the stars in the museum’s planetarium show. If you want to go to this event, it is on October 26 and 27 and goes from 11:00-5:00.

The last event is The Vampire Circus at Tarrytown Music Hall. This is an event that is described as Tim Burton meets Cirque du Soleil, and is full of terrifying clowns, macabre sets, and performers that are adept in dance, theater, and gymnastics. If you want to go to this event, it is on October 30 and starts at 8:00.

Overall, even though we are halfway through October, there are still many fun Halloween events in the area to check out. So, go ahead and have a scary good time in Westchester County!
