Bakeries In The Area
Hello everybody! I have made a lot of blog posts about restaurants in the area lately, so let’s mix things up a little bit by writing about bakeries in the area! The idea for this post came about when I would find out about some of the desserts at the restaurants I wrote about, especially when I wrote about McKinney & Doyle in Pawling, which is part restaurant and part bakery, so I figured I would find out about all the interesting bakeries in the area and what they offer in hopes that all of you reading and me will want to check them out. The first bakery is Delite Bake Shop in Yonkers, which has a wide variety of baked goods under a wide variety of categories. The first category is Holiday Items, and the baked goods are Struffoli, which are deep fried dough balls coated in honey and other decorations, Stollen, which is a fruit bread coated with powdered sugar or icing sugar, Paska, which is a sweet bread, Yule Log, which is a cake, and Gingerbread Houses.
