Stamford Downtown Farmers Market
In the past, I have made several posts about farmers markets in the area, and today I am going to make another one! This one is in my favorite place in Connecticut, the city of Downtown Stamford. It used to be located on Bedford Street, but they moved it to a new location a few years ago. While I don’t know the exact reason, my guess is that they ran out of room with all the restaurants on the street offering outdoor dining at the same time. It is now located at Veterans Memorial Park on Atlantic Street, which is in front of the Stamford Town Center. In this post, I will be talking about the vendors that are listed on the event’s website and what they sell and finishing off with some additional information.
The first vendor that is part of it according to the website is Amelia’s Florist & Farm Market from East Haven, which as their name suggests, sells a variety of flowers and fresh produce.
The next vendor that is listed on the website is Anderson + Joy from Norwich, Connecticut. They make and sell vegan and cruelty-free bath & body care, which contains nourishing ingredients that moisturize without harsh chemicals.

They are a bakery that sells custom cakes, mini cakes, and cupcakes inspired by recipes from the Dominican Republic. The filling flavors that they offer are dulce de leche, coconut cream, pineapple marmalade, guava marmalade, berries marmalade, dark/milk chocolate ganache, white chocolate ganache which comes with the flavors pistachio, passion fruit, matcha, and lavender, and a plain filling which is just buttercream.
The next vendor that is listed on the website is called Balta’s Bakery. I couldn’t find any social media or other information about them, but I imagine that they sell a variety of baked goods.

What they sell includes four different types of gin, two different types of whiskey, four different types of vodka, six different specialty spirits, and six different specialty cocktails.

The next vendor that is listed on the website is Terra Green Growing Co. LLC, which is located right in Stamford. This event also has live music from 11:00-1:00, which should provide some entertainment for when you are done shopping but not ready to leave. The event has also partnered with Food Rescue US, and at the end of each market, their local volunteers pick up excess food from the vendors and deliver it directly to local social service agencies that feed the food insecure. The market itself happens on Saturdays until October 26 from 9:00-2:00, so go visit Downtown Stamford and get some amazing fresh food and other products!
