Hudson Valley Restaurant Week
If you are in the Hudson Valley for the month of April and are looking for places to get food, you should consider looking into Hudson Valley Restaurant Week! This event got started in 2006 by Valley Table magazine as a way of promoting all the local chefs, restaurants, ingredients, farmers, artisanal producers, winemakers, and purveyors, is the largest and most successful dining event in the region, has had over 150 restaurants participating in it over the years, and is a key economic driver in the region. It will also be covering a time period of two weeks and will go from April 8-April 21.
Restaurants that are participating in the event are in Dutchess County, Greene County, Orange County, Putnam County, Rockland County, Sullivan County, Ulster County, and Westchester County. This year, 147 restaurants will be participating in the event, and some of them have even created special menus in honor of it. For this post, I will be talking about some of the restaurants that are in Westchester County and Putnam County, as these are the closest to where I live and where all of you who are reading this live.
